Rosemont, Ill. — NRCA will be holding its second Executive Management Institute (EMI) for seasoned roofing executives. This is an opportunity for executives who have had primary responsibility for leading their companies for at least 10 years to: learn from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management professors and industry experts; apply learned concepts through a competitive team project; receive one-on-one, company-specific feedback on assignments; and network with industry peers.

The program will start in November 2013 and end in February 2014. During these four months, participants will focus on leadership and strategic planning and rethinking how to approach these subjects. EMI will consist of two face-to-face sessions with time to read and plan in between — the first session will be held Nov. 10-13 at Kellogg's downtown Chicago campus, and the second session will be held Feb. 24-25, 2014 at the 2014 International Roofing Expo.

More than one person from the same company may apply to EMI; however, class size is limited to 25, and a second candidate from the same company only will be considered if there is enough space. Candidates are subject to an interview by the EMI Admissions Committee.

The program is $7,495 for NRCA members if they meet the early-application deadline of Sept. 11; the price will increase to $7,975 for the final application deadline of Oct. 11. The nonmember price is $10,250.
