WAYNE, N.J. — GAF announced plans to open a new asphalt roofing shingle manufacturing facility. This facility will be located in the vicinity of eastern Missouri or southern Illinois, with an anticipated start-up in 2015.

Following the commencement of operations, GAF will own and operate 14 shingle plants in the United States; significantly adding to what is already the industry’s largest available production capacity. The new state-of-the art facility will include the company’s eighth 4-wide laminator, enabling GAF to further enhance service to its customers located throughout the central region of the U.S. and beyond. The facility is expected to employ more than 80 people.
