Two ABC Supply Associates Honored with Ken Hendricks Awards
BELOIT, Wis. — Two longtime associates of ABC Supply Co. Inc. – Reggie Crichton and Dale Schultz – will be honored with 2011 Ken Hendricks Awards. The awards will be presented during ABC Supply’s annual Founders’ Celebration event on June 21 at the company’s National Support Center headquarters here.
The Ken Hendricks Award was created to honor the memory of ABC Supply’s co-founder, Ken Hendricks, and to highlight the values that he championed and that have driven ABC Supply since its establishment in 1982 – Respect, Opportunity, Work Hard – Have Fun, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Family, Give Back and American Pride. It is the most prestigious distinction bestowed by the company.
“Our company was built on these values and they remain at the heart of ABC Supply’s culture,” said Kim Hendricks, ABC Supply’s vice president of organizational development. “This award is another way to reinforce what has made ABC Supply the extraordinary company that it was in the beginning, that it is today and that it will continue to be tomorrow.”
Reggie Crichton is the manager of the ABC Supply branch in Kahului, Hawaii.An energetic and service-oriented professional who joined the company in 1996, Reggie considers his co-workers “family” and operates his branch with the ABC core values in mind. On a personal level, he practices a quiet generosity – volunteering for affordable housing initiatives, assisting the local Boy Scouts and the Maui Fire Department and distributing food to needy families. With his team at the Kahului branch, Reggie regularly participates in Habitat for Humanity builds and other community service projects.
Dale Schultz is a sales representative for ABC Supply’s Tulsa, Okla. branch.Family members, his church, Special Olympians and ABC Supply customers all have benefitted from Schultz’s “roll-up-your-sleeves-and-help” philosophy. A resident of Catoosa, Okla., he is a devoted family man, successful salesman, longtime volunteer for Special Olympics and also a church deacon and leader of his church’s youth group. Schultz, who just celebrated his 20thanniversary with ABC Supply, has been described as someone who “was born with ABC Supply’s core values.”
