Award Winners Announced at Product Showcase
ORLANDO, Fla. — The Product Showcase at this year’s IRE combines the New Product Pavilion and Green Pavilion into one focused area that the features the hottest industry trends and the latest new, cool, green and safety products. The Product Showcase is located on the show floor in booth 367, and this area is a must-see for attendees to find great products in a direct, non-selling environment.
It also featured award presentations for Best New Product and Best Green Product at the show. A panel of judges rated the entries on innovation and overall value, and the following products earned the honors this year.
In the Best New Product category, the first-place winner was Metal Plus, LLC, for its Ultimate Bracket. The bracket is designed to enable metal roofers and solar installers to install their systems safely and efficiently. Second place was awarded to CertainTeed Roofing for its CertainTeed Apollo and Power Max Solar systems. Third place went to Tie Down Engineering for its Steep Slope Guardrail, a guardrail bracket that meets OSHA requirements and easily adjusts to five pitch positions from 6:12 to 16:12.
In the Best Green Product Category, the first-place award went to SofSurfaces Inc. for its SofTile AP, a highly durable, resilient interlocking roof paver made from 100 percent post-consumer recycled content. Second place was awarded to the Ultimate Pipe Flashing from Lifetime Tool & Building Products. It is a pipe flashing with a proprietary compression ring that requires no messy caulking and accommodates roofs ranging from flat (0:12) to very steep (in excess of 18:12). Third place was awarded to MAXIFLO’s Maxi-Pro, a new commercial flat roof ventilator offered in a highly reflective white color.
