ROSEMONT, Ill. — Tecta America Corp. announces the promotion of COO Brynne Smith to president and CEO, with current CEO Mark Santacrose assuming the role of chairman.

“Brynne has done an excellent job learning the fundamentals of our business, and his experience driving growth and building teams will help Tecta achieve its next level,” said Santacrose. “With Brynne’s leadership and the strength of more than 40 offices nationwide, Tecta is well poised to maintain its position as the premier roofing contracting firm in the country.”

Santacrose was president and CEO of Tecta America since 2001 and oversaw its growth from 16 locations and $160 million in revenue to more than 40 locations and over $400 million in revenue.

“When I joined Tecta, I was truly excited and energized by the vision of driving the strongest roofing contracting firm in the industry. I have been impressed by the caliber and commitment of the team across the country, and convinced that we have the talent to realize the tremendous opportunity in the industry,” said Smith. “I see significant growth potential in green, solar, national account business and in our ability to use the strength of our operating units to achieve that growth.”

Prior to joining Tecta America, Smith was with Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc, where he spent more than 18 years, and held positions of increasing responsibility. His most recent position was that of vice president of PMCM where he was responsible for project and construction management of buildings and infrastructure, and led a group of 1,500 employees, whose efforts resulted in more than $350 million in revenue.

Smith graduated from Bradley University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and holds a master’s of Business Administration degree in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the St Louis Science Center.
