It attaches to existing standing seam metal roofs to create an effective melt path for snow. The new patent-pending system employs UL-Listed self-regulating commercial grade heat tape contained beneath a specially-designed metal raceway, firmly pressing the heat tape against the existing metal roof panel along each standing seam. By conducting thermal energy directly to the exposed roof panel, the new product actually makes the metal roof a part of the ice prevention system.
