DEWALT Announces Sponsorship for Big Fight
DEWALT will sponsor the “200: Celebrate & Dominate” fight
between “Sugar” Shane Mosley and Sergio “Latin Snake” Mora set to take place at
the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sept. 18
DEWALT announced its sponsorship of the “200: Celebrate & Dominate” fight between “Sugar” Shane Mosley and Sergio “Latin Snake” Mora set to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sept. 18, just two days after Mexico’s Independence Day. Adding to the excitement of the highly anticipated fight, Mexican welterweight Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and junior welterweight Victor Ortiz will join Mora on the fight card.
“We’re committed to developing close relationships with contractors on and off the jobsite, so we value opportunities like these to engage with our end users,” said Hector Vallejo, multicultural marketing manager, DEWALT. “Additionally, we know many contractors in the U.S. are Mexican or Mexican American, and we are proud to partner with Golden Boy to sponsor this legendary fight, recognize the hard work of Mexican and Hispanic contractors across the nation and celebrate the historic bicentennial event.”
To commemorate the bicentennial of Mexico’s independence and generate excitement leading up to the fight, DEWALT will host more than 300 promotional events at The Home Depot stores in select markets from Aug. 23 to Sept. 17. Nineteen of the 300 events will include special appearances from Golden Boy fighters; however, all events will give attendees the chance to test the newest DEWALT products, receive special tool discounts and enter the DEWALT Ultimate VIP Experience Sweepstakes, which ends on Sept. 10. Additionally, attendees who purchase more than $250 in DEWALT products will receive a DEWALT Pay-Per-View voucher that will make them eligible for a reimbursement for the cost to view the fight.
As part of the Ultimate VIP Experience Sweepstakes, DEWALT will give over $8,000 in prizes to various winners. Among the prizes, DEWALT will award 10 second place winners a DCD760KL Compact Lithium-Ion Drill Kit and five first place winners a DCK265L Compact Lithium-Ion Combo Kit. One grand prize winner will be awarded an all expenses paid trip to attend the “200: Celebrate & Dominate” Mosley vs. Mora fight with VIP access to the weekend’s events, including press conferences, weigh-ins, meet and greets, pre- and post-fight parties and autographed items. Airfare, hotel reservations, meals and tickets to the fight will be included in the grand prize.
