GAF-Elk has added 9-inch versions of its Cobra RigidVent 3 and Cobra Snow Country Advanced ridge vents, designed to work with the narrow ridge cap products popular in the western and southwestern areas of the United States. Specifically, these two new ridge vent products are designed to work with GAF-Elk’s, Z Ridge, Grand Canyon/Grand Sequoia Hip & Ridge, and Ridglass 10-inch, as well as other 10-inch wide competitive ridge cap shingles. The original versions of these Cobra ridge vent products measure 12 inches and work with traditional size cap shingles. The 9-inch versions of Cobra RigidVent 3 and Cobra Snow Country Advanced ridge vents offer Cobra’s patented EasyTear sizing system along with three inch ring shank nails for maximum fastening power when installing the vent and ridge cap shingles. It incorporates a SnowGuard filter to help prevent snow infiltration.
