his sons (H.T. Harrison, Jr., Wellford T. Harrison and John Harrison) become of
working age they joined their father working for the company.
ROCKVILLE, Md. - H.T. Harrison & Sons Inc. has turned 100.
Herbert Thomas Harrison started roofing in 1908. As his sons (H.T. Harrison, Jr., Wellford T. Harrison and John Harrison) become of working age they joined their father working for the company.
H.T. Harrison & Sons become incorporated in state of Maryland in 1946. In 1980, Wayne Harrison, son of Wellford T. Harrison, Sr. purchased the company from his father and uncles. As owner and president of the firm, Wayne expanded roofing services to include residential and commercial work, specializing in roof replacements. The sheet metal shop has old and new equipment that allow for specialized roofing related sheet metal services.
Wayne and his wife, Capri, have been operating the business at the current location in Rockville, Md. since the purchase in 1980.
