LOS ANGELES - A.L.L. Roofing & Building Materials Corp., a California-based distributor of residential, commercial roofing and waterproofing building materials to specialty contractors, is celebrating its 70th Anniversary serving the industry.

In 1937, with $100 and a delivery truck, Al Lessel opened up A.L.L. Roofing & Building Materials Corp. in Los Angeles. The company was the first supplier in the area to solely provide roofing materials to contractors. Seventy years later, Jerry Lessel, Al’s son, is utilizing the same business philosophy throughout its 10 locations in Los Angeles, Van Nuys, Ventura, Long Beach, Santa Ana, Norco, Rosemead, San Jose, and Castorville, Calif., and Lake Havasu, Ariz.

“We are extremely proud of the products and services, reputation and hard work of great people who have helped contribute to the success of A.L.L. over the years,” said Jerry Lessel, son of Al, who has been running the company since 1963.

In 2002, A.L.L. aligned with Allied Building Products Corp., adding its branches to Allied’s more than 180 locations in 29 states.
