Allied Building Products was established in Jersey City, N.J., in 1950 as a family-owned and operated roofing and custom sheet metal fabrication business. With just five employees, two trucks, 700 square feet of office space, and 5,000 square feet of warehouse space, the company had a small start - but a very big vision.
Today, one of the largest roofing and siding distributor in the United States, a $1.8 billion building material distribution company with 3,500-plus employees, 190-plus branches in 30 states, and well over 1 million square feet of office and warehouse space, one thing remains the same: the superior service, personal attention and unwavering commitment to our customers that Allied was founded on.
With an inventory of more than 100,000 SKUs from residential roofing and siding to doors, windows, waterproofing, manufactured stone, interior products and commercial roofing systems, Allied is able to consistently meet a wide range of supply demands. The products we have chosen to stock all have on thing in common: they have been chosen based on their ability to meet our strict standards for safety, quality, and fair pricing. Allied has invested in forming strategic alliances with key roofing vendors throughout the country, so that we can be proactive to ever-changing conditions in our most critical markets.
Allied has strong roots in commercial roofing, with history that gives us a unique understanding of the needs, want and goals of commercial contractors. In certain parts of the United States, we have exclusive representation rights to major manufacturers’ product lines, giving us distinct product advantage. We also have the resources and mechanisms in place to maintain complete commercial inventory throughout most of the country, enabling us to provide unparalleled service.
Our private label brands allow us to give our customers a true value in terms of quality and pricing. TRI-BUILT, our successful commercial private label, and Cutting Edge, our popular residential private label, give contractors a wide range of value-conscious choices.
Our latest commitment to service is the continued development of our company Web site, www.alliedbuilding.com. This invaluable tool functions as a information center, library product guide, and will ultimately be a place where a contractor can check inventory, the status of an order, payments, or create a specification sheet. With our Web site, we can offer Allied service 24/7.
