NRCA Co-sponsors Golf Tournament

NRCA will co-sponsor a charity golf tournament held by Rebuilding Together®, a national nonprofit organization that rehabilitates homes for low-income families and elderly or disabled people. The Eighth Annual Washington Open will be held July 21 in Potomac, Md., and is expected to raise more than $100,000 for the organization. In addition to the golf tournament, live and silent auctions will feature tickets for sporting events, golf outings, vacation packages, artwork and political memorabilia. NRCA Releases Second Series of Toolbox Talks

NRCA has released NRCA Toolbox Talks II, a series of 52 safety lessons. The toolbox talks allow foremen and trainers to review one of 52 safety lessons with their crews each week. To make the trainers’ jobs easier, each lesson has been structured to allow for various presentation styles and includes safety training tips and illustrations that detail key points to stimulate questions and discussion.

Topics addressed by this toolbox talks series include electrical safety, equipment safety, fall protection, fire prevention, general Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements, hazard communication, hot asphalt safety, personal protective equipment, personal safety, repetitive-stress disorders and more.

NRCA Toolbox Talks II is available for $75 to members and $95 to nonmembers. The original NRCA Toolbox Talks is available for $45 to members and $60 to nonmembers. Both toolbox talks sets can be purchased for $95 and $125, respectively.
