Ecostar™, Vernon Hills, Ill., announced the addition of a new manufacturing plant in Trenton, S.C. The plant opened in October 2001 and has steadily worked to increase EcoStar’s production of one of its newest products, Majestic Slate Colonial tiles. The plant has not only increased EcoStar’s capacity and distribution capabilities, but has also decreased the lead time and freight costs for customers in the East, North, Southeast and Midwest.

“The new plant will affect overall sales growth due to the increase in inventory,” stated Jaime Dustan, customer service manager of EcoStar. “This will allow for additional sales, reduce the time between ordering and receiving products, and enable us to serve our customers more effectively and efficiently.”

In addition to Majestic Slate Colonial tiles, the Trenton plant will produce EcoStar’s Seneca Cedar Shake Tiles™. The plant also stocks accessory products and hip and ridge.
