ATLANTA — Atlas Web Technologies (WEBTECH^®), a division of Atlas Roofing Corporation, has just opened a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Sylacauga, Ala. Located about 70 miles north of Montgomery on Sylacauga Fayetteville Highway, the new facility will begin shipping products to customers by late 2014.

Although initially delayed by weather, construction progress was fast-tracked to meet the original completion timeframe. Atlas Roofing Corporation President Ken Farrish said, “A very wet spring delayed early stage progress, but our project team has kicked it into high gear in the last couple of months. Thanks to the WEBTECH team for generating the business that required us to build capacity, and for the great work on designing and constructing this great facility.”

WEBTECH develops coated fiberglass facers, paper facers, recycled paper, underlayment and other substrates for the building materials industry. It currently operates plants in four locations and is a global supplier to more than 25 countries. The new facility in Alabama will manufacture coated products for the building materials market.
