CertainTeed Completes Acquisition of Celotex
CertainTeed Corp. has completed the acquisition of the roofing and fiberglass mat assets of Celotex Corp.
CertainTeed Corp., Valley Forge, Pa., has completed the acquisition of the roofing and fiberglass mat assets of Celotex Corp., Tampa, Fla. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. As part of the sale, CertainTeed acquires four asphalt shingle manufacturing plants located in Fremont, Calif; Los Angeles; Birmingham, Ala.; and Cincinnati. The sale also includes a fiberglass mat production plant in Russellville, Ala. This facility will supply fiberglass mat to the newly acquired roofing plants and will be operated by Vetrotex America, a CertainTeed subsidiary and a leading North American manufacturer of fiberglass products for reinforcing plastics and other materials.
