CHIPLEY, Fla. - Kent Construction Co. Inc. was named subcontractor of the year for rough trade by Southeast construction management company Ajax Building Corp. Kent received the award for outstanding performance in the installation of metal roofing at the Santa Rosa Department of Corrections Facility in Milton, Fla. The $44 million Santa Rosa project consisted of 35 separate buildings on a compound covering approximately 54 acres and included extensive site work, utilities and all associated security requirements. The roofing project comprised seven buildings covered with more than 300,000 square feet of Englert Series 2400, 2-inch, mechanically seamed Galvalume Plus standing seam material.
