IKO Adds Blackstone Color to Dynasty Shingle Line

IKO has launched Blackstone, a new color offering in its Dynasty shingle collection, expanding the line’s range of architectural asphalt shingles for residential roofing projects.

Available throughout the U.S. and Canada, Blackstone is designed to provide a refined black appearance that complements a wide range of exterior styles.

The color is intended to create contrast with light siding while blending with darker or neutral exterior palettes.

Blackstone shingles share the same performance features as other products in the Dynasty line.

These include a Class 3 impact rating under UL and FM standards, which may help homeowners qualify for insurance discounts where available. The shingles also feature ArmourZone technology, which provides a one-and-a-quarter-inch nailing surface to support secure installation and includes a limited wind resistance warranty of up to 130 mph.

Additional features include a tear-resistant tape backing designed to reduce nail pull-through and blow-off, along with a sealant that activates under sunlight to help protect against water infiltration.

IKO has also released a video demonstrating Blackstone shingles in real-world residential applications.
