Factory-Finished ACRE Siding Speeds Installation
Pre-finished trim cuts jobsite labor

Modern Mill has introduced Factory-Finished ACRE, a pre-finished version of its wood-alternative composite designed to streamline installation and reduce jobsite labor.
The Mississippi-based manufacturer produces ACRE using upcycled rice hulls combined with PVC resin. The company said the new factory-finished option arrives ready to install, eliminating the need for on-site painting or staining.
ACRE is used for siding and trim—materials installed on a building’s exterior to protect the structure and provide a finished appearance—as well as for decking and millwork. The material is engineered to resist water, weather, rot, pests and splintering, and can be painted or stained without primer.
Factory finishing is intended to improve consistency while reducing mess and delays tied to weather conditions during installation, the company said.
Modern Mill manufactures ACRE at its facility in Fernwood, Miss., using rice hulls sourced from regional farms. Additional product line expansions are planned later this year.
