Data-Driven Insights, Innovation, and Connections Set the Tone for IRE Day 1 in Las Vegas
North America’s largest roofing and exteriors event officially kicked off on Day 1 as the International Roofing Expo returned to Las Vegas Jan. 20–22. The opening day set the tone for a busy week, with contractors, manufacturers, distributors, and service providers gathering to explore what’s new and what’s next for the roofing and exteriors market in 2026.
The exhibit halls came to life early as attendees navigated hundreds of booths showcasing the latest products, tools, materials, and technologies for both residential and commercial applications. Live demonstrations, hands-on product displays, and face-to-face conversations with manufacturers gave contractors an up-close look at innovations designed to improve efficiency, safety, and performance on the jobsite.
Education was front and center on Day 1, highlighted by a keynote that took a different approach than years past. Instead of a traditional motivational address, the International Roofing Expo opened with a deep dive into Roofing Contractor’s exclusive survey data, offering attendees a data-driven look at contractor sentiment, challenges, and opportunities shaping the industry in 2026. The keynote set the stage for a full schedule of educational sessions focused on business strategy, workforce development, safety, technology, and technical best practices.
Beyond the exhibits and education, networking remained a key highlight of the opening day. From impromptu meetings on the show floor to organized events and receptions, IRE once again provided an unmatched environment for building connections, sharing experiences, and strengthening relationships across the roofing and exteriors community.
