Kingspan Insulation North America announces the addition of OPTIM-R E to its OPTIM-R Series vacuum insulation panels.
In a news release, Kingspan stated that the new vacuum insulation panel addresses the growing demand for energy-efficient roofing solutions in both new-build and retrofit applications with limited construction depth.
OPTIM-R E is a rigid vacuum insulation panel with a fumed silica core encased and sealed in a thin, gas-tight envelope.
This construction delivers exceptionally low thermal conductivity, achieving an R-Value of 34.2 per inch at the center of the panel and offering one of the thinnest available solutions for meeting demanding thermal performance targets.
Each panel is also encapsulated in a proprietary coating that enhances durability and minimizes on-site handling risks.
"OPTIM-R E represents the next evolution in high-performance insulation,” said Rob Hinckley, vice president of sales, Kingspan Insulation North America. “Its proprietary spray coating can defend against the everyday hazards found on job sites, offering greater durability without compromising its exceptional R-value per inch.”
Kingspan stated that in new construction applications, OPTIM-R E can significantly enhance R-values in areas that might otherwise compromise the building envelope’s overall thermal performance.
In retrofit projects, it enables insulation in locations that may have previously remained under-insulated due to space restraints.
OPTIM-R E is now available across North America through Kingspan Insulation’s distribution channels.
