Mecalux Software Solutions provides a warehouse management system with integrated generative artificial intelligence to respond naturally to information requests. 

Implemented in more than 1,100 warehouses across 36 countries, the system allows users to interact via chat; mimicking human interaction, it interprets and answers complex questions in seven languages.

Developed by Mecalux’s team of engineers, Mecalux’s GenAI Easy WMS aims to streamline warehouse processes by facilitating decision-making and task execution, the company said in a news release. 

Users can inquire about any warehouse-related aspect and Easy WMS will provide precise answers in various formats, including figures, lists, tables and charts.

The program 

Mecalux’s GenAI can generate downloadable reports with the necessary data for inventory management, create visual summaries of outbound order status and real-time occupancy levels, and provide information on the current stock of a specific product. 

Users can also execute specific actions while interacting with the AI tool. For example, they can request the release of all orders marked for express delivery or unblock a specific aisle. Once confirmed through the chat, these actions are performed automatically.

Driving logistics innovation

Mecalux said that integrating GenAI into Easy WMS is a significant step in optimizing logistics operations. The system is continuously updated and will evolve through user feedback, allowing Mecalux to refine its responses and better adapt to its clients’ changing needs.  

The intralogistics solutions specialist also leverages AI to enhance the quality of its software and assist its developers in generating and reviewing code.
