The latest numbers from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics show that roofing remains one of the most dangerous occupations in the construction trades. While overall workplace fatalities increased by 7.8% in 2022, roofing contractors demonstrated one of the highest workplace fatality rates in the country, with a majority of the incidents due to falls.

It’s always been a difficult and dangerous job, and while we’ve always covered the topic thoroughly as a publication, Roofing Contractor is looking to do more.
