Content Is King: A Conversation With Bob Dalsin

Bob Dalsin attributes the success of the company to one thing: its people. One anecdote that is not included in the story or the podcast reflects that attitude, and I don’t think Bob would object if I shared it here. Bob is a past president of the NRCA, MRCA and Twin Cities Roofing Contractors Association. When I asked him about his tenure as president of these organizations, he again returned the focus to his associates at the company. “That was a unique experience and a real treat for me, but only because of the people we have was I able to do it,” he said.
He went on to tell a story about a convention in Orlando during his time as NRCA president. The company held an annual meeting in conjunction with the show and shared the financial results. “We had a really good year, and I was gone about half the time that year,” Dalsin recalled. “They said, ‘Are you going to be gone as much this year as past president?’ I said, ‘Probably,’ and they all stood up and cheered. So that shows you how important I am.”
