SRS Distribution announced a new partnership with the Department of Defense's SkillBridge Training Program. The initiative allows service members to prepare for post-military careers by gaining civilian work experience through internships with corporate partners.

SRS became an approved DOD SkillBridge partner in June 2024, with over 50 branch locations participating in the program.

With SkillBridge, SRS will offer a comprehensive Operations Management Trainee Program. This four-month, hands-on internship will provide military service members with real-world experience managing daily warehouse operations, inventory control, supervising loading and unloading processes, and ensuring timely and accurate product delivery. They will also hone their skills in customer service, order processing, and handling customer feedback. SRS has designed this program to provide a well-rounded understanding of the company's business, culture, and core values.

"SkillBridge is an amazing opportunity for SRS to give back to military members and their families by providing training and a possible career path after their service is complete," said Luis Moyano, veteran program manager and recruiter at SRS Distribution. "Leaving the military is an exciting but scary time for service members because you are walking away from a steady income and benefits.
