National Women in Roofing Uses New 'Micro-Site' for Recruitment
NWiR Leverages Web for Recruitment through ‘RoofingIsWomen.org’
According to the National Roofing Contractors Association and the National Women in Roofing, women make up only about 0.5% of the roofing professionals in America and less than 3% in Canada.
National Women in Roofing announced the launch of an innovative micro-site dedicated to transforming the roofing industry and its recruitment of women in the industry through a dedicated site with a specific mission.
The brainchild of NWiR’s Recruitment Committee, RoofingIsWomen.org, has been designed to broaden the reach for more women to build long-term careers, according to an Oct. 31 news release.
Aligning with the group’s mission to “empower, inspire, and connect” women in roofing, NWiR is addressing the industry’s talent gap and gender disparity head-on, and NWiR says RoofingIsWomen.org is a crucial step toward achieving this goal. The site provides a dedicated platform for women interested in exploring and advancing their careers in the roofing profession.
