Multiple roofing contractors have earned a spot on Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 list, which tracks the fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

The annual Inc. 5000 list ranks U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit and independent companies. For this year’s list, Inc. ranked companies based on the percentage of revenue growth they experienced from 2019 to 2022. The minimum revenue for 2019 was $100,000, while the minimum for 2022 was $2 million.

In the past, companies likes of Facebook, Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and other household names initially gained national prominence through their Inc. 5000 recognition. That being said, making the list has been a goal for many companies.

Among the companies claiming a spot, as well as earning recognition on Roofing Contractor’s 2023 Top 100 list, is Benton Roofing, which snagged the 4,275 spot on Inc.’s list with 103% growth. For the Top 100, it earned the 54th spot with $41.3 million in revenue in 2022.

"This honor is a reflection of our team's dedication and our commitment to quality, integrity, and service," said CEO Caleb Benton in a written statement. "Despite economic hurdles, our values have remained our compass. We're deeply thankful to our clients, partners, and team for making this milestone a reality."

Joining them on both the Top 100 list (number 74 with $26 million in revenue) and on the Inc. 5000 list is Northpoint Roofing Systems out of Woodstock, Ga. The roofing contractor experienced 893% growth, earning it the 653rd spot.

"Being recognized on the Inc. 5000 list reflects our team's efforts to revolutionize the roofing industry on a national scale,” said Patrick Maginn, CEO of Northpoint Roofing Systems. “From how we work with our amazing employees and customers to our meticulous processes, we are driven by a mission to make a difference, one roof at a time."

Other companies that support roofing contractors made the list as well. SRS Distribution earned the 2,994 spot for its 173% growth, making this the ninth time the roofing distributor made the list. STACK Construction Technologies, a leading construction software platform, has again earned a spot, taking 2,525 for its 123% revenue growth.

“To say we are thrilled is an understatement,” said Phillip Ogilby, CEO and co-founder of STACK. “Seven consecutive years on the Inc. 5000 list is astounding, and this prestigious recognition fuels our passion to continue innovating for our customers in the construction technology landscape.”
