The International Roofing Expo's return to Dallas — where in 2020 it drew record crowds prior to the pandemic — proved once again that everything is bigger in Texas.
Massive crowds, nearly 600 exhibitors, and 60-plus educational sessions covering every topic imaginable are just some of the highlights from the 2023 International Roofing Expo, held March 7-9 at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. The official numbers aren't in yet, but if the registration lines were any indication, this show is sure to go down in history as one of the largest to date.
Along with a 175,000-square-foot exhibit space, attendees enjoyed networking events held after show hours, from a welcome party at the House of Blues Dallas to a ROOFPAC fundraising event. They could also cheer on the students taking part in the Roofing Alliance's 2022-23 Construction Management Student Competition, volunteer during the IRE's Community Service Day to give back to the host city, and empower themselves and their peers at National Women in Roofing Day.
"We're very thrilled for the turnout for the entire show," said Kyle Thomas, chairman of the National Roofing Contractors Association board, during the opening ceremony. "There's a lot of energy and excitement out there, so we're certainly glad to have everybody together again."
