RC: Catch us up on what’s happening at Roofing Utah?

JS: We have intentionally not tried to grow as I am on the road almost more than I have been home. All of our leads have come in organically, and that has been more that we can handle to be honest.

RC: What have you been working on or proudest of accomplishing in that time period?

JS: I have been on tour, helping roofing contractors learn how to run a business and have control over their profitability.  

RC: Have you been to BOS before?

JS: This will be my first time, and I am very much looking forward to it.

RC: What are you looking forward to at BOS 2022?

JS: With such an amazing lineup of speakers, I am super excited to learn from each of them and network with those contractors that attend.

RC: What will you cover in your presentation and what do you want contractors to take away?

JS: The labor pool largely consists of millennials and Gen Z, and I hear contractors complain about the work ethic quite often. I think the challenge is not in the ethic per se, but in what motivates them to want to work. I hope to help contractors understand those motivators and how to create a culture that retains those generations as well as enabling contractors to grow their businesses.
