Back in 1982, Modi Systems set out to revolutionize the roofing industry. Modi Systems’ mission was to develop the most innovative products to meet the needs of the professional roofer.

With this concept in mind the Magnum Torch was developed. It was the first torch on the market to feature a wind resistant electronic starter and have a brass shaft which made it lightweight and properly balanced to prevent installer fatigue. It was and still is the only torch on the market to offer a 33-foot rubber hose.

As years past, sales and status grew, making MAGNUM the most well known and well respected brand torch in the industry both in the United States and Canada. Modi Systems’ main objective was not only to build a high-quality roofing torch but to provide excellent service to all of its customers. We expanded our Magnum line to not only included single torch kits, but various other kits such as the Magnum Combo Torch Kit. We developed the line to meet the growing needs of the distributors and roofers we service.

The continued success of Modi Systems and the Magnum Torch allowed us to develop a complete line of commercial and residential roofing accessories which include the Modi Trowel, Modi “Breather” Vent, Modi Drain, Modi pipe collar, Modi scuppers, and the Renova Drain. These products are compatible with most types of roof systems and are very user friendly. Our most recent addition, MODI PLY- modified bitumen single ply membrane is of first quality and well accepted in the industry.
