MIDLAND, Mich. — Dow Solar announced expanded availability of the DOW™ POWERHOUSE™ Solar Shingle to homeowners in northern California and central Texas – specifically San Antonio and Austin – through its exclusive POWERHOUSE Authorized Dealers. The company introduces five new authorized dealers, including Town & Country Roofing and Dority Roofing in northern California, and three professional roofing contractors that will serve the central Texas market – Beldon Roofing, Quality Roofing and Ja-Mar Roofing.

Dow identified the two regions as prime markets for the introduction of the POWERHOUSE Solar Shingle. Texas, one of fastest growing solar markets, is also ready for smart solar solutions like the POWERHOUSE Solar Shingles that provide an aesthetically superior product. California has long been a leading solar installation market with more than 1.5 GW of installed solar capacity, and home to more than 3,500 active solar firms that employ thousands of people. Additionally, bringing the POWERHOUSE Solar Shingle to California aligns with California’s pledge to have one million solar roofs in the state by 2018 as outlined in the Million Solar Roofs Bill.
