PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Burns & Scalo is pleased to announce the addition of a new team member, Joel Emerson, director of safety/loss prevention.

Joel Emerson is tasked with developing and ensuring compliance of company safety standards for all Burns and Scalo operations. In addition, Emerson will be responsible for creating and conducting field training programs geared towards instilling proactive safety measures among all personnel. Emerson comes to the company with a wealth of construction safety experience. Prior to his employment at Burns & Scalo, he was employed by Washington DC Metro Area based James G. Davis Construction Corp. as their assistant safety manager/safety compliance officer. He also received his bachelor’s degree in Safety and Environmental Management from Slippery Rock University.
