The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) will hold its one-day class, Photovoltaic Roof Systems: Energizing Your Business, on Oct. 13 in Denver.

The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) will hold its one-day class, Photovoltaic Roof Systems: Energizing Your Business, on Oct. 13 in Denver.

Class participants will learn about the terminology, benefits, design considerations, construction details, electrical considerations, code compliance, and business and legal issues associated with photovoltaic (PV) roof systems. Participants also will have the opportunity to interact with technical experts, including Jim Kirby, NRCA's associate executive director of technical services, and Kris Sutton, an industry expert specializing in environmental and PV design and instruction. Class participants will receive complimentary copies of NRCA'sGuidelines for Roof-mounted Photovoltaic System Installations and Building Owners Guide to Roof-mounted Photovoltaic Systems, which will serve as the program's technical basis.
