PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The solar division of Allied Building Products, a division of Oldcastle Inc., the North American holding company for CRH plc, announced its partnership with Enecsys, the leader in reliable solar micro inverter systems for residential and commercial applications. Allied will be the first North American distributor for Enecsys, and will be the first in the U.S. to hold inventory of the company’s micro inverters. The products are on schedule to be stocked in April at Allied’s New Jersey, Santa Ana and Hawaii warehouse locations.

The Enecsys solar grid-connected micro inverter enhances the growth of residential and commercial markets by substantially improving performance and reducing the cost of solar PV system ownership.

“This demonstrates how Allied is constantly working to expand the variety and quality of our product offerings,” said David Jenkins, General Manager of Allied’s Solar Division. “With Enecsys in the U.S. market we intend to support the thousands of contractor customers purchasing micro inverter products.”

“The Enecsys micro inverter enables solar PV systems to harvest between 5 and 20 percent more energy over their lifetime,” said Peter Mathews, Vice President North America Sales for Enecsys. “A micro inverter is sitting behind the solar module so it is of crucial importance that it has the same lifetime, reliability and environmental specification as the module. Our inverter thus operates at full performance from minus-40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius.”

The Enecsys micro inverter’s patented design eliminates electrolytic capacitors, the most common cause of failure in inverters, so its life expectancy matches that of solar modules. This is a major breakthrough for the solar PV industry and the product is backed with a unique 20-year warranty.

Last month, Enecsys won the award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology at the CleanEquity Awards Ceremony for its micro inverter. The inverter eliminates high-voltage, direct current wiring and enhances system optimization by monitoring the performance of each solar module. It also eliminates the string inverter, a common source of failure.

Allied Building Products Corp. will be exhibiting at PV America at booth 656, and Enecsys will be in attendance. For more information, visithttp://www.enecsys.comorhttp://solar.alliedbuilding.com/.
