DALLAS - Roofing professionals looking for customized educational sessions to make their roofing business more competitive, productive and profitable, should plan to attend the 2010 International Roofing Expo, Feb. 22-24, in the D & E Halls at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La.

The 43 in-depth sessions will cover topics designed especially for contractors, owners, CEOs, general managers, building owners, facility managers, foremen, superintendents, architects, engineers, consultants, estimators, salesmen, manufacturers and suppliers. “Education is a vital component to growing a profitable business in today’s market,” said Donna Bellantone, Director of the Expo. “The International Roofing Expo’s cutting-edge educational conference sessions are taught by those who know the roofing industry best.”

Ground-breaking sessions on the emerging issues and need-to-know strategies include, “Condensation Control in Roof Systems,” “Better Job Costing and Labor Controls to Increase Profits,” “Photovoltaics for the Roofing Contractor,” “Keep Non-Roofers off your Roofs- Add Solar PV Sales to your Business Portfolio,” and “FM Approvals Update.” Visit www.TheRoofingExpo.com to search the full conference schedule by track, title, date, time or speaker.

Of the 43 seminars, 98 percent feature new topics, with two of last year’s most popular sessions back by demand. Also, 26 of the sessions involve topics pertinent to the residential sector of the roofing business, while the Spouse Program offers 14 sessions for the involved spouses who are looking for ways to help manage and grow their businesses.

Sessions are 90 minutes in length, allowing attendees to schedule their time to derive the most value from the event and ample time on the show floor. Sessions cover eight educational tracks addressing key roofing segments including technical, workplace safety, leadership/management, green building, legal/HR, money matters, sales/service and general business.

All sessions have been submitted for approval by the RCI, Inc. [RCI] continuing education hours. In addition, 26 courses have been submitted for approval by Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Construction Industry Licensing Board [DBPR/CILB] [Education Provider No. 0003200].

As an effort to help attendees save money during tough economic times, registration rates did not increase this year. Advanced pricing of conference registration packages range from $205-$255 for a Day Pass and $355-$415 for a Super Pass. All conference packages provide free admission to the Exhibit Hall, Power Panel and Welcome Party at Mardi Gras World. NRCA members receive a discount on all packages. Space in educational sessions is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Online registration is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
