The manual is a widely respected guide to designing, constructing, and maintaining low-slope roofing systems. The latest edition supersedes the AIA Manual of Built up Roof Systems (1982) and the Griffin-Fricklas third edition (1996), both now out of print.
This 600-page, hardcover edition addresses the complex changes in low-slope roofing over the last 30 years, including code revisions, the growth of polymer-modified bitumens, improved and new single-plies, spray-in-place polyurethane foam, built-up and metal roofing, new adhesives and self-adhering systems, mechanical fasteners and thermal insulations. It also examines cool roofs, green roofs, EPACT 2005, California's Title 24 and LEED. A glossary and index of ASTM test methods are included in the appendices.
