Mule-Hide Celebrates 100th Anniversary
The year 2006 marks the 100th anniversary of the Mule-Hide brand. The company's yearlong recognition of this milestone was kicked off at the International Roofing Exposition in Las Vegas.
BELOIT, Wis. - The year 2006 marks the 100th anniversary of the Mule-Hide brand. The company's yearlong recognition of this milestone was kicked off at the International Roofing Exposition in Las Vegas. A special logo was designed and featured in the Mule-Hide booth, and throughout 2006 ads, promotional items and clothing will feature the 100th Anniversary logo that states "A Century of Trust."
The original trade name was registered in 1906 by the company, which manufactured top-quality roofing products with a reputation for long lasting performance. In 1985 the trade name was purchased to market top-quality single-ply, insulation, and accessories with EPDM as the lead product. In the late 1980s, the company's In-Seam Tapes were launched, and in the 1990s, Mule-Hide developed its Water Base Bonding Adhesive. Other products include elastomeric acrylic coatings, the A-320 Finish for coating asphaltic substrates, an EPDM restoration system, Seal-Fast Tape and Seal-Fast Fabric Tape, as well as self-adhering modified bitumen manufactured with Adeso® self-adhesive technology.
