DENVER-The Johns Manville Roofing Systems Group announced an initiative to provide up-to-date and reliable information on cool roof solutions. The initiative includes detailed information on the new standards under Title 24 to address energy-efficient roofing solutions in California. The information is available for free in three formats: via a comprehensive Web site (www.jmcoolroofs.com), a free CD or in a printed packet.

The education program consists of easy-to-understand information about Title 24, Energy Star, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), SPiRiT (a sustainable project rating tool developed by the U.S. Department of Defense) and roofing systems that can meet the requirements of these energy-saving programs.

A highlight of the Web site and CD is a Web cast of the presentations made at the April 2005 Cool Roof Symposia sponsored by Johns Manville in California. In addition to providing detailed information on symposia topics, the information packet contains material on other cool roofing solutions.
