The American Iron and Steel Institute announced the formation of the Cool Metal Roofing Coalition as the board of directors of the coalition conducted its first business meeting at MetalCon International in Chicago.
The coalition is an “association of associations.” Its charter sustaining members are five industry trade associations that share a strong interest in metal roofing, including AISI, Galvalume Sheet Producers of North America, Metal Building Manufacturers Association, Metal Construction Association and the National Coil Coating Association. The mission of the coalition is to unite the resources of the metal industry for education on the sustainable energy-related benefits of metal roofing.
