TruFast Corp., Bryan, Ohio, introduced the TruFast® LCS Low Profile Clip Screw. It is designed specifically for installing architectural roof panels that use concealed clips or nailing strips. Featuring an ultralow profile head with a reduced head-to-shank radius under the head, the new clip screw is said to drive easily and set completely flat to avoid the usual head protrusions that cause panel dimples. The #1 square drive head provides a more positive bit engagement compared to a Phillips head, and the more aggressive 11.3 threads per inch provide superior pull-out values when compared to conventional clip screws. The product is available in 1- and 1 1/2-inch lengths in either corrosion-resistant, coated carbon steel, or stainless steel, in 1,000-count cartons.
