CRCA Invites Roofing Contractors to Illinois Legislative Reception
Annual Springfield event aims to strengthen relationships between roofing contractors and state lawmakers
The Chicago Roofing Contractors Association is inviting members to meet with Illinois lawmakers during its annual Legislative Reception on Dec. 1 in Springfield, Ill.
Organized by CRCA's Industry Affairs & Technical Committee, the Rock & Roll Reception is designed to strengthen relationships between roofing contractors and legislators who vote on issues affecting contractors and other businesses throughout the state.
CRCA is encouraging a strong turnout, saying member participation helps demonstrate the roofing industry's engagement in legislative and regulatory issues and provides contractors an opportunity to develop ongoing relationships with policymakers.
The reception will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Saputo s, 801 E. Monroe St. in Springfield. Members can also arrive at 3 p.m. for a tour of the Illinois State Capitol led by CRCA legislative consultant Margaret Vaughn. Depending on the legislative schedule, participants may have an opportunity to observe committee hearings and House and Senate floor proceedings.
