Duro-Last Launches PVC/TPO Roofing Tie-In Strip
Product targets membrane transition issues

Duro-Last has introduced a PVC/TPO Tie-In Strip designed to create watertight transitions between PVC and TPO roofing membranes, addressing a longstanding installation challenge in the commercial roofing industry.
The product is intended to reduce the need for field-fabricated transitions between dissimilar single-ply roofing systems, which can increase installation time and create inconsistent detailing.
“Contractors have had to improvise when transitioning between PVC and TPO for years, and that is exactly the kind of challenge we are focused on solving,” Duro-Last President Darren Schulz said in a statement.
The tie-in strip includes a 10-foot section with an 8-inch PVC skirt and a 6-inch TPO skirt factory-welded to coated metal. The product also features prepunched fastening patterns and defined welding parameters intended to support consistent installation and watertight performance.
According to the company, the product was developed to address growing demand for hybrid roofing applications, including reroofing, retrofits and phased building expansions that require transitions between membrane types.
The PVC/TPO Tie-In Strip received recognition at the 2026 International Roofing Expo, earning the Innovative Product Showcase & Awards distinction and the Expert’s Choice Award for roofing products.
