The craziness in the markets will have an impact on our industry, but what does it mean? I do not know, but experience tells me that we will not only get through it, we will come out on the other side as something different.

Change is something that I have grown to love for some reason. On a personal level, I just seem to do better when life and business move at an uncomfortably fast pace. When things slow down (in my world anyway) that is when the real hustling begins.

When in the comfort zone of, “Everything is going right,” I tend to be cautious and constantly in wait of the other shoe to drop. When things are going to hell in a handcart my senses tend to be a bit more alert with the added adrenaline flow. I tend to be calmer and even a bit more optimistic - ready to take on additional risks.

This is not just because it gives us more to write about. I am involved in the roofing industry and make my living here. I suppose it is just more interesting to work in a situation where I am more challenged than usual.

But that’s just me. Tell me what you think about all this craziness.
