Homer Glen, Ill-based Richards Building Supply Co. announced last week that it had acquired Fond du Lac Distributors, a roofing, siding, windows, and doors distributor in Fond Du Lac, Wisc., to expand and serve its Wisconsin contractor customer base. 

“We are thrilled to welcome this team into our family,” Ronald M. Guzior, Richards’ president and CEO, said in a September 13 news release.  “This acquisition represents another win for family-owned and operated independent distributors.” 

Guzior stated that Fond Du Lac Distributors owners Sue and Jeff Guelig will continue running the operation under the Richards umbrella. He added that bringing Fond Du Lac Distributors into the Independent Distributor Alliance Corporation network of construction supply distributors will further enhance that network.
