Contractor Profile: Jerod Raisch: Metro Construction, Inc.

By Tom Watts
July 28, 2011
Metro Construction, Inc. was founded in 2007 with an aggressive yet strategic growth plan with the goal of expanding into 14 offices over the first six years.

Jerod Raisch, President and CEO of Metro Construction, Inc., has 22 full-time field and administrative staff along with 65 sales executives.

Metro Construction, Inc. was founded in 2007 with an aggressive yet strategic growth plan with the goal of expanding into 14 offices over the first six years.

“These growth and revenue objectives have been met every year with a strong emphasis on building residual opportunities with every new client,” said Jerod Raisch, President and CEO of Metro Construction. “Our primary focus is to be a leader in the steep- and low-slope roofing industry, but have diversified our product offerings to maintain a healthy outlook regardless of the state of economy.”

Metro Construction is headquartered in Denver with five offices, as well as branch offices in Cheyenne, Wyo., Golden Valley, Minn., and Hollywood, Fla.

With 22 full-time field and administrative employees along with 65 sales executives, Raisch said his staff works in concert with his top players, including general sales mangers Mike Fugenshuch, Dan Matheny, Troy Mewis, Florencio Gonzales and Steven Smith, as well as Office Manager Diana Clem, National Production Manger Wayne Bishop, and Director of Technology Eric Hansen.

“In addition to our passionate team, we believe our marketing, technology, distribution and manufacture partnerships are the heart and soul of our success,” Raisch said. The company motto, “Discover the Metro Difference,” meshes well with business as Metro Construction goes out of its way to treat every client’s home or business as if it’s their own. “Our team takes pride in providing a superior level of professionalism and personal customer service,” Raisch said. “Discover the Metro Difference with a company founded on honest business practices, courteous service, truthful advertising and full information disclosure.”

Still, Metro Construction is not just a roofing company. “If our client is a retail customer or insurance restoration client, we are able to service all our clients’ exterior restoration and energy efficiency needs,” said Raisch, who noted the company workload breaks down to 80 percent residential, 15 percent commercial, and 5 percent industrial.

So, what is the Metro Difference? “We offer all of our direct clients no money down, contracts that ensure they receive a true 100 percent customer service satisfaction guarantee,” Raisch said. “We utilize partners and our own technologies to scope our jobsites and ensure take-off and ordering accuracy while limiting our time to quote, and limiting our safety liability for our sales executives.”

Metro Construction builds a “Metro System” that is backed by a minimum 10-year workmanship warranty with over 65 percent of steep-slope jobs built with a Owens Corning Platinum Promise Warranty that extends the warranty to a 25 Workmanship Warranty backed 100 percent by Owens Corning.

“We believe that every job, regardless of the jobsite demographic, must adhere to the same strict OSHA standards,” Raisch said. “We offer all of clients the opportunity to upgrade their roofing ventilation system while installing a lifetime warranted insulation that rewards them with an amazing return on investment.”

Metro Construction completes thousands of single-family projects every year but prides itself on servicing multi-family projects. “We recently completed a 3,000 square multi-family project for a large HOA that required strict installation timelines with little disruption to the community,” said Raisch, who noted that a commitment to its distribution partnerships has kept the company competitive. “By taking a green approach and offering energy saving products and services, our clients will benefit from savings for years to come.”
