The National Roofing Contractors Association and GAF Materials Corp. have announced a problem-resolution program.

The National Roofing Contractors Association, Rosemont, Ill., and GAF Materials Corp., Wayne, N.J., have announced a problem-resolution program. The program will enable NRCA member contractors who report problems with GAF asphalt shingles and other residential roofing products to receive quick resolution.

The program, which will begin immediately, will operate as follows: If NRCA receives a call from a member contractor reporting a problem with any GAF residential product, NRCA will notify GAF, and GAF will respond to the contractor within two business days. NRCA will monitor the process to ensure the contractor is satisfied.

"This program is another demonstration of GAF's commitment to the contractor community and industry," says Bill Good, NRCA's executive vice president. "This type of program, we hope, will become a model for problem resolution in the future, and we salute and applaud GAF for taking this important step."

Bill Collins, GAF's president and chief executive officer, added, "GAF is committed to helping the best contractors build their business and avoid hassles. This alliance, which is designed to help provide quicker responses and advocacy for NRCA member contractors, helps us to deliver on commitment."
