GMS Expands Pacific Northwest Footprint with Evergreen Acquisition
GMS adds four locations as its 2026 acquisition streak continues across building-product categories

GMS Inc. has made its fifth acquisition of 2026, adding Evergreen Building Products and four Washington locations as it continues expanding its exterior building products footprint.
“The acquisition of Evergreen will not only expand our base of residential and commercial customers throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, but also greatly increase GMS’s exterior cladding offerings and market coverage by adding EIFS and stucco products, enabling us to better serve customers across this region," said GMS President and CEO John C. Turner, Jr.
Evergreen and its team will continue operating under their current name and branding, while owner Chris Burrows will continue managing the business, operating in close collaboration with GMS’s Northwest Division leadership.
Evergreen founder and owner Chris Burrows. “This transaction allows us to preserve what makes our company special while gaining the resources and support to grow even stronger.”
An Expanding Footprint
GMS has completed five acquisitions so far in 2026, expanding its geographic reach and strengthening its offerings across interior building products, roofing and exterior cladding.
In March, GMS acquired Above Interior Distributors, a Miami-area supplier of specialty acoustical products, ceilings and related building materials. The single-location business expanded GMS’s specialty acoustical and ceiling distribution coverage in South Florida.
In April, GMS acquired Frontier Drywall Supply, adding three locations in Denver, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs, Colo. Frontier distributes wallboard, steel products and related interior building materials, and the deal gave GMS its first location in the Colorado Springs market.
GMS moved further into roofing and building-envelope products in May with the acquisition of Peridot Supply Company. Peridot operates three Ontario locations in Brampton, Ottawa and Dorchester and distributes flat roofing, steep-slope roofing systems, wall and insulation products and related accessories. The acquisition expanded GMS Canada’s roofing capabilities and capacity.

In June, GMS acquired Central Materials, a distributor of stucco, EIFS, stone, masonry and related cladding products with two locations in South Texas’s Rio Grande Valley. The transaction expanded GMS’s complementary-product portfolio and strengthened its presence in South Texas, particularly in exterior cladding.
The five acquisitions add 13 locations to GMS’s network and reflect a two-part expansion strategy: building greater density in its traditional wallboard, ceilings, and interior-products business while accelerating growth in complementary categories such as roofing, building-envelope systems, stucco, EIFS, and other exterior cladding products.
