GoodLeap Launches HELOC-Backed Home Improvement Card

New financing product offers cash-back rewards and connects homeowners with contractors through the GoodLeap platform

GoodLeap has introduced the GoodLeap Home Visa Signature Card, a home equity line of credit that functions like a credit card and is designed to finance home repairs, renovations and energy upgrades.

The GoodLeap Home Card provides approved homeowners with access to as much as $150,000 in revolving home equity credit. Cardholders can use available credit over time, pay contractors as work progresses and convert balances of more than $1,000 into installment plans with fixed payments.

GoodLeap said customers can earn 6% cash back on qualifying home projects initiated through the GoodLeap Home app. The company called it the highest cash-back rate offered by a major card for home improvement spending. Cardholders also may earn 3% cash back on eligible everyday purchases after spending at least $2,000 during a billing cycle. Rewards, rates and credit limits are subject to eligibility and program terms.

The card has no annual fee and can be used anywhere Visa is accepted. Unlike a traditional home equity loan that provides a single lump-sum payment, the product offers continued access to available credit during its draw period, allowing homeowners to finance projects in phases or respond to unexpected repairs without submitting a new application.

GoodLeap’s platform supports financing for contractors working in roofing, solar, HVAC, windows, batteries and other home improvement categories. Homeowners can explore financing options through participating contractors and use the approved credit line for subsequent projects.

For contractors, the company said the card could support longer-term customer relationships by allowing homeowners to return for additional repairs or upgrades using financing already connected to their property.

Eligible applicants may receive access to funding in as little as three days. GoodLeap is accepting waitlist registrations at goodleap.com/home-card.
