CertainTeed Debuts Solstice Solar Mounting System
New rooftop and ground-mount systems add installation-focused options for contractors handling residential roofing and site-built solar work.

Roofing contractors looking to add solar work have a new mounting option to consider. CertainTeed introduced the Solstice Mounting System, a solar racking platform for pitched-roof applications.
Designed for residential roofing work, the system features a lightweight rail, supports portrait and landscape module layouts, and works with either rafter or deck attachments. Installation features include universal pop-on clamps, single-tool assembly and integrated wire management.
The launch also includes Solstice Ground Mount, a pipe-based system for site-built solar projects that the company said is engineered for varied soil conditions.
Together, the rooftop and ground-mount systems expand CertainTeed’s solar offering and give contractors access to roofing materials, solar modules and mounting components through a single manufacturer and warranty program.
“With the introduction of the Solstice Mounting System, we are now the first company to offer high-quality asphalt shingle roofing materials, an industry-leading solar mounting system, and modern solar panels, all backed by comprehensive warranties from a single, 120-year-old brand that contractors and homeowners trust” said Andrew Wickham, Senior Director of Solar Products at CertainTeed.
For contractors, the broader lineup may help simplify estimating, procurement and installation by reducing the number of vendors involved in a project.
A coordinated system of roofing, solar modules and mounting components may also help crews standardize installation practices across jobs while giving building owners a more streamlined warranty path.
