Rocky Mountain Launches CrossGard II Snow Fence
Low-profile system for retrofit roofs

Rocky Mountain Snow Guards has introduced the CrossGard II Snow Fence, a two-pipe snow retention system designed for retrofit applications on shingle roofs.
The system features a compact, low-profile design that fits on a single course of shingles and requires three screws per upright bracket for installation. It attaches directly to roof sheeting, making it suitable for retrofit projects without extensive modifications.
CrossGard II is intended for use on roofs with lower pitches and moderate snow loads. The product is available in an aluminum mill finish, with an optional powder-coated finish.
According to the manufacturer, the system is designed to provide comparable load performance to traditional snow guards while offering a lower-cost alternative for retrofit installations.
“It was designed as a lower-cost retrofit-only snow fence option,” said Brian Cross, operations manager. “The key selling feature … is its low profile.”
The product expands options for contractors seeking snow retention solutions that balance performance, installation simplicity and cost in existing roof systems.
