GAF Expands Program Supporting Donated Roofing Systems
Contractors gain added warranty for donated roofs

GAF has expanded its Community Contractor Program to include enhanced warranty coverage for residential roofing systems donated through the initiative.
The program enables GAF-certified contractors to partner with nonprofit and community organizations by identifying housing needs in their communities. GAF provides a complete roofing system, technical support and program resources for qualifying projects.
Under the expansion, donated roofing systems will also include enhanced warranty protection intended to provide long-term coverage for homeowners and organizations receiving the roofs.
“The Community Contractor Program was created to give GAF-certified contractors a unique way to support the well-being of their neighbors,” said Jim Durkin, chief customer experience officer at GAF. “By expanding it to not only the materials for a complete roofing system but the added security of an enhanced warranty, we are further helping our contractors provide their communities with a roof.”
Since launching in 2022, the program has partnered with more than 600 nonprofits nationwide and supported the donation of more than 1,700 roofs, according to the company.
The initiative is part of GAF Community Matters, the company’s social impact program focused on community-based housing and resilience efforts.
